The picture on the right used to be an example of showing an object which is originating from a different web server. Unfortunately, that server was taken down some time ago.
It shows weather history and was gained from the infrared (IR) channel of MeteoSat.

 

I'm endebted to my former collegue Cpt Ronald Spahn for making the source of this weather information known to me. Actually, I copied the (then valid) URL right from his (then still existent) home page!
